Virus Buster
Virus Buster was the second program that failed to recognise all the test viruses. It stopped all the macro viruses and email attachments, but missed several infected programs. It managed to pick up those files interactively later.Virus Buster adds two icons to the taskbar tray: the Virus Buster icon itself and a Macro Protection icon. Both have useful right-click menus that let you access program dialogs or disable protection.Macro Protection monitors file activity and jumps to your defence when you try to open an infected document. You can perform full system scans using Virus Buster, but it makes it unnecessarily difficult to add or exclude file types from a scan and doesn't sort the file type list. One of its nice features is that when it encounters a virus, it provides a voice message saying just that, instead of merely beeping. You can also configure it to send a notification via email or alert other users on a network. The Scan Wizard makes Virus Buster easy to use and there's an expert mode for those who like to have better control over the options. Scans are fast and when Virus Buster encounters an infection it provides clear options for dealing with the infection. It also has good logging options so you can track any anti-viral activity.
